Highlight One
I got to go home Memorial weekend a visit with some family and friends. It was a wonderful time to get away from school for a bit and relax. Sadly it was short lived but a blessing none the less.
Lowlight One
home during Memorial weekend, I hit one of those strange concrete drain things in Woodstock while pulling up to a curb and knocked out my car's alignment and promoted a vibration at certain speeds (something got bent??). I have yet to fix this...
Highlight Two
I finally got a chance to auto cross!!! I know what you are thinking... "What is auto crossing?" or "You did that with the Buick??!" First, auto crossing is a motor sport where you race against the clock for the fastest lap around a given course, usually cones set up in a parking lot. Most of the time you are simply trying to improve on your own time but you usually end up comparing your times with other people for the fun of it. Second, yes, the Buick.

It was a great time and as far as I know, nothing broke. I improved my time every single run ending the afternoon runs with a 60.107 which placed me ahead of four cars (the fastest car was running in the 49s fyi). It is also worthy to note that I was the only luxury car there. ;) My Buick is no racing car but allowed me to have some fun anyway. :)

Someone seems to have broke my antenna off. :( No more radio...
Highlight Three
I'm doing pretty swell in some of my classes!
Lowlight Three
I'm not doing super well in some classes... Prayer that I can improve or at least keep my current passing grade in these.
Highlight Four
I have worked at a used car dealership with my house mate a few Saturdays to make some extra dough. Most of the time I've been helping move random stuff around or paint walls as the owner recently acquired full ownership of the shop and has decided to improve it. Last Saturday though I got to do some car work!! Yeah!
Lowlight Four
As of Wednesday, June 10th, 2009, I no longer have a co-op job. The co-op program at the company where I worked has been suspended till further notice. I have no clue what I'm going to do or whether I'll be able to find a new co-op quickly in this economy. Please be praying about this as I attempt to start looking for job opportunities while finishing up school (finals are next week Thursday, the 18th, Friday, the 19th and Saturday, the 20th).
Currently I still plan on hiking the week after school and will then head home for a currently unknown length of time. I also still plan on going out to Colorado in July for Eric Ludy's discipleship session. Worse comes to worse, I will have to quite school until further notice.
I am hoping I can find a part time job or two to make ends meet and possibly continue to go to school. Please be praying that whatever opportunities come my way that God would show me which is the one for me. I will keep you posted on this.
Thanks!
May God Bless you and supply all your needs!
